Holly is making a documentary about the ill fated Igor Dyatlov and his party who went missing in the Ural mountains. She and some friends from college set off for Russia to speak to a man who survived and is currently institutionalised but his doctors will not allow them to speak to him.

A man who they talk to in a bar directs them to his mother who was around at the time the Dyatlov party went past and she tells them there was a lot hidden from the public and things were kept even more secret than usual which is saying a lot for the USSR.

Soon after arriving at the same location things start to get weird, someone with Shaq sized feet was creeping around barefoot in the snow, there’s a hatch with a tongue in it, people who seem to be hikers show up but have no supplies except a sniper rifle and there’s a mysterious bunker door that’s kicking out strong radiation but is frozen shut.

Once strange things start happening there’s no let up so it’s near impossible to get impatient with this one and it’s well worth waiting for the end as it’s quite a remarkable twist and ties into another conspiracy myth. Some people are confused by the end but as long as you pay attention you won’t be.
