Wrong Turn (2021)

Eeeh gads. Its started off pretty well, promising even. Then I saw where it was going and it slid downhill faster than a lubed sled in an Alaskan winter.

I don’t mind that they changed the plot, it is a remake after all but this was absolutely not Wrong Turn. Rob Zombie remade Halloween (or massacred depending on your opinion) it was similar in the last leg but the beginning was extremely different, the recent Pet Sematary remake (which I hated) also made some sizeable tweaks and I respect those movies for what they did but this wasn’t a remake or re-magining, this was a sick joke.

Some idiot kids go to the woods, stumble on a cult, kill some guy and then find out it wasn't a bad guy. Lead girl offers herself as some kind of fuck toy to the cult leader and so captivated is he that he lets her carry out an elaborate scheme under his nose to get away. 

I’d rather watch the sequels…to American Psycho, 8mm and Donnie Darko, yes I found it that bad.
